Ms Wheelchair Iowa

A program of achievement, advocacy and opportunity

The Ms Wheelchair Iowa Pageant Luncheon was held on Saturday, March 4, 2006.
Jackie Heinz is the Winner of the Iowa pageant.

The titleholder of the 2006 Ms Wheelchair Iowa Program, Jackie Heinz, represented Iowa in the 34th Annual Ms Wheelchair America Pageant, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Ms Wheelchair Iowa 2006 is Jackie Heinz

Jackie Heinz was crowned Ms Wheelchair Iowa 2006 in Iowa City, Iowa, Saturday, March 4th.

Jackie Heinz, 24, is from Rowley, Iowa and was born with a genetic disorder, Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

Heinz is a strong believer that life is what you make it to be. You can either fall into the flow of the mainstream or you can forge on and make your own path.

She feels there are wonderful opportunities available for individuals with a disability in the area of recreational therapy. One of her biggest hobbies is working with horses. She would like to see more facilities around the country specializing in equine therapy for the disabled.

The 1st Runner-up was Sarah Beck and Ms Congeniality was Luvoria Sanders.

How to become a contestant in the Ms Wheelchair Iowa Program

The mission of the Ms Wheelchair Iowa Program is to provide an opportunity for women of achievement who utilize wheelchairs to successfully educate and advocate for individuals with disabilities.

from across the state to participate in a positive competition of self achievement.
Increase Public Awareness…
to the accomplishments of individuals with disabilities.
Provide An Avenue…
for women in wheelchairs to advocate for individuals with disabilities.
Provide a Public Forum…
