My name is Sarah Anderson and I am 23 years old. I am a T 9-11 incomplete para. I have a spinal cord injury which occurred in June of 2003. Currently I am undergoing outpatient physical therapy at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.

Since my injury is incomplete, I have regained full feeling in my lower
extremities, as well as bladder and bowel control. I can now move my left leg, ankle, and toes.

I am a recent graduate of Cal Poly State University. While studying there I received my BS in Animal Science with a concentration in communications.

I plan to continue my studies and earn my masters in agriculture. I plan to pursue a career in the food safety industry.

My disability has not slowed me down a bit. I am currently involved in a mentor program in which I am working with a young lady who recently had a spinal cord injury. I also am a volunteer for ARF, where I donate my time to finding new homes for abused and unwanted animals.

I am currently single and am living with my parents. In my spare time I enjoy playing with my adorable dog Roxy, swimming, spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, arts and crafts, sewing, and participating in equine therapy.
