I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I moved to
Louisville 5 years ago, when I graduated from the University of Cincinnati.
I will spend the next year teaching kids with disabilities the importance
of independence, self-sufficiency, and self-esteem. Too many kids grow up to stay home and
collect government checks, because they have been told their whole life
that they cannot work and make a living. That breaks my heart. I was lucky
enough to grow up with a whole slew of supportive people, who taught me
early to take care of myself. I want other kids with disabilities to
experience that. I work closely with an organization called Winners On
Wheels, which promotes these ideals. I also work fulltime at Community
Employment, an agency that provides employment services for adults with
disabilities. |

In my (limited) spare time, I like to do pretty much anything crafty,
shop, go to theatre, watch basketball (go Xavier!!), and hang out with my
friends. Here is a list of organizations I work with:
- Kentucky Center: Access Services Board and Arts Access
Committee
- Winners On Wheels: Circle Leader and VP of the Board of
Directors
- Member, Spinal Cord Injury Association of
Kentucky
