Many of the contestants have found new friends, that they will keep
in touch with for a lifetime. They all have a common bond of being women in wheelchairs, and having "Wheels of Dreams."
They all came to Des Moines as contestants representing their states, and they had
no idea what the week would bring. But they all went home with memories, and new
friendships. They have been able to share their wheelchair experiences with other
women who have similar challenges in their life. So even though everyone is
different, they did find a common bond. |
