My name is Amber Sexton, Ms. Wheelchair Illinois 2006.
I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. I recently got married to the love of my life, James.

Since my crowning, I have centered my attention on children, both disabled and able-bodied. I feel it is the best investment we can make in the future when it comes to furthering the right of the disabled.

Helping children with disabilities strive, by providing them with the tools and support they need, will lead to a successful generation to come. I also believe that educating the non-disabled at an early age is vital.

I am really looking forward to the national pageant in July. I know I will meet many incredible women.
