| Hello, my name is Jenny Siegle and I am twenty-one years old. I was paralyzed at nine months of age from a rare virus, Transverse
Myelitis. My spinal cord was injured at the C4/C5 level, which left me as a quadriplegic. I was originally paralyzed from the neck down, but with many years of hard work and determination from therapists, my family, and I; I have regained partial use of my upper body. I am very grateful for what I have regained, because I am a very active person. |

I was crowned Ms. Wheelchair Colorado on April 2, 2004. I have just recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor in Speech Communication. |
| My ultimate career goal is to become a sports anchor/reporter. Sports have always been my passion and since I am not always able to play them, becoming a sports anchor/reporter is the perfect way for me to be involved. Other ways I have been involved with sports are managing the UNC women’s basketball team and being a sponsored athlete at the National Sports Center for the Disabled. Sports are not my only love though. My family means the world to me. My parents, Rob and Barb Siegle, have always been there to support me. I am also very close to my older
sister. |

During the upcoming summer, I will be fulfilling my duties as Ms. Wheelchair Colorado, working
and interning at WB2 in the sports department. After completing my reign, I plan to go to graduate school at Syracuse University to receive my masters in Broadcast Journalism. In my free time I enjoy traveling, photography, and spending time with my family, friends, and boyfriend.
